But it had nothing to do with them [Alia, Varun and Sidharth.] It was not their failing, it was me missing the movie star magic on set. I’m unabashedly in love with working with big, mainstream actors. They were many days when I felt, “Should I have made this film? Am I doing a good job with these kids?” But the larger moments were where I felt happy, young and alive as a filmmaker. I think a part of me was dying because when you are so many years into the business there is a certain lethargy that creeps into your daily functioning.
