What is the name of the evidence board used, formal dresses uk

Those display boards are great for advancing the story in a movie or TV show, but they don always have a parallel in real life. In entertainment media, detectives work one case at a time until they make an arrest, then move to the next one,http://ecigged.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21842. In real life, detectives are usually working multiple cases, since crime doesn conveniently wait for one incident to complete before starting another. Any case display board would be competing for space with boards for other ongoing cases.

Another reason those boards don often exist is because detectives usually work in an open office/bullpen format, with many desks crowded into a single room. At best, they may have cubicle walls to furnish a little privacy. Witnesses who are also or may become suspects and press people are in and out of these areas as they are interviewed, and allowing them to see the material on the display boards would give them insight to the case the detectives don want them to have.

I notice that some of the more recent shows (Law and Order: SVU and Hawaii 5-0) employ huge, touch-sensitive digital displays in place of the old standby corkboard, elegant prom dresses 2013 uk,http://home.opayer.com/space.php?uid=794&do=blog&id=203. These displays aren any less costly for police to buy than they are for you and me. There are some out there, but they aren nearly as commonplace as TV would imply, and none of them have the magical capabilities shown in the story (like the ability to place a cellphone on a flat table display and have all of the information it contains blossom forth from it),http://59ideas.com/blog/207/.

Before these displays were available at all, detectives would occasionally use corkboard to create link charts and similar exhibits with index cards, black cocktail dresses, thumbtacks and string. I never heard any of these displays called anything except "the board."
