He continued to work,cheap toms, as a “kind of functioning junkie,” in India, Hong Kong and New York, before finally cleaning up and returning home.In an interview with The Wall Street Journal’s India Real Time, Mr. Thayil talked about the changing drug scene in India, including the spread of cocaine among the middle and upper classes.
