WSJ: How accurate is the film in retelling the events in Azmi’s life? Mr. Mehta: The broad strokes of the film are accurate. A journalist interviewed Shahid’s brother and he says that the film is 95% accurate. I was dealing with a man who was not alive it was his life, so I had to tread carefully because you don’t know what happened behind closed doors.
