That is because in India he is perceived as more acceptable than his predecessors but he is not seen as someone that is bringing something unique to India.Bush and Clinton brought some excitement but Obama seems to be very careful so there seems to be nothing new or unique happening.He should restore India’s faith in America with regards to their policy with countries in the region. That is really how India will ultimately judge him. That is how Bush got judged and Clinton got judged.Positive feelings from the colorful visit will only last while you are here. Cracking a joke or two and saying “I love India” and stuff like that, I don’t get excited about.He knows that India is the U.S.’s long-term partner and I’m sure he would want to strengthen that relationship more than any other country in the region.WSJ: What about his stance on outsourcing and the business relationship between the two countries?Deora: The media will be interested in outsourcing but I don’t think it is an issue at all.
